現在(簡單)式
特徵---第三人稱動詞有變化 (+s, +es, -y+ies)
代表---永恆不變的真理; 天天發生的事情或是常常做的事情
例句
永恆不變-------The Earth moves around the Sun. (地球繞太陽轉--永恆不變)
Friday comes after Thursday.(星期四之後是星期五--永恆不變)


天天發生/常常在做---Mr. and Mrs. Thopmson go to the supermarket every Sunday evening.
(湯姆森夫婦每星期日晚上都去超市)

第三人稱單數動詞字尾變化
+s-----------------The Earth moves around the Sun.(move後面加s)
+es----------------Mr. Thompson goes to the supermarket on Sunday evenings(go 後面加es)
另外, 每星期日晚上 有兩種寫法--1.every Sunday evening, 2.on Sunday evenings
-y+ies-------------Amanda studies biological science this semester(study 去y加入ies)
Amanda這學期唸生物科學
注意!!!字尾是子音才要去y加入ies----像是cry, study,
字尾是母音不需要!!!!play, He play baseball every weekend.
